Hi. I'm Stan M Rogers and this is a website for and about my writing.
I am 61 years old and currently living in Ohio, USA.
I am actually English and spent my formative years in London before moving to Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire and finally to Haverhill in Suffolk.
Back in 2008 I went to live in the Seychelles before finally meeting my lovely wife Raven and coming to Ohio in 2010. This is my writing resume.
LOVE SEX AND TIME TRAVEL.
My first novel self published in March 2008.
UNTIL THE END OF TIME
My Anthology of Poetry and Short Stories, self published in May 2010.
THE SEER OF ALBION.
My second novel published by Fountain Blue Publishing in December 2013.
FAFFY THE LEPRECHAUN.
A short story published by me in February 2014.
People often ask me which kind of books I write. Which genre do I write in? I actually hesitate to give a genre. Love Sex and Time Travel could have been classified as many genres. It was a bittersweet love story set in two time periods namely the early 1980s and the recent present day. It did involve Love and Sex and of course Time Travel. It was also a kind of who dunnit?
The Seer of Albion is more of a pure imaginary saga. You may think it is set in the past but it is actually set many millenia into our future when man has almost destroyed himself and needs to fight his way back from oblivion. It is also a love story with some parallel universe science thrown in.
Until the End of Time was an anthology compiled after realizing I had so much poetry that it would be worth publishing it along with a few short stories.
Faffy the Leprechaun actually started out as a series of blog postings inspired by the place I was working temporarily (yes us writers need to eat too.) It proved so popular online that I expanded and edited the story before self publishing it a few weeks before St Patrick's Day this year. (pre-emptive marketing ... lol.)
I am currently working on the follow ups to my two novels and another short story. Who knows? I may even publish another Anthology.
"I like to examine the dark side of life through my writing. Whether it is through my novels or my poetry I find I prefer the walk along the dark side of the road over the heart lifting sunnier side."

Tonight I bleed
…do you see my blood, taste it.
Do you feel my blood? Flowing from me.
Do you see my blood? The hue of bruised poppies in July’s hot sun.
Metallic tang. Iron taste.
Smell my blood. Tears from my heart.
Each tiny slow congealing droplet a memory
A worry. A regret. A sigh from this heart
… life’s sadness and inequality
… your hurt and my pain
Blood was my hope, No tears my dream…
….. but… I bleed tonight.
